We will not be holding Quetzalcoatl Con for 2011.  We are looking into a more appropriate 2012 date.  A full update will be available in the upcoming months.  Thank you for your patience.

Welcome to Quetzalcoatl Con's Home Page! Quetzalcoatl Con is an Anime/Gaming/Sci-Fi convention presented by Guild House and hosted in the Greater Detroit Area.  Yes, if you live to see 2011 you have survived at least one end of the world scenario just this year! Join us and find out what!

We will have a large game room, interesting panels, and enjoyable videos. There will be a Dealer's Room with a wide variety of wondrous mementos available for sale to commemorate your adventures! There will also be convention shirts with our nifty Quetzalcoatl design created by Nigel Sade available as well!

We are planning to have a convention-wide LARP (live action role-playing game event), unique badges that you can have decorated in Artist's Alley, and a Feast on Sunday where you can enjoy a good meal for a low price while chatting it up with the Special Guests! You may also get to paint your own miniature to take home with Reaper Miniature's Paint-n-take events!

We will update the events as they are confirmed.

Location & Dates:

We plan to be at the MET Hotel in Troy, MI. July 15-17th.

Special Guests:

Our current special guests include William Jones the horror writer/publisher of Cthulhu and other horror fiction. His works include the recently released "Pallid Light" a zombie tale with a Lovecraftian twist and the upcoming "High Seas Cthulhu 2". And Richard Tucholka from Tri Tac Games and creator of Bureau 13 and Fringeworthy. Come meet one of the grandmasters of the gaming community! We are also pleased to have Diane Harlan-Stein as our Artist Guest of Honor.  Her bright, charming personality shall grace our halls!

Registration:

Pre-registration will be available shortly.

Artist's Alley:

We have a special deal available to our artists. Go to the Artist Alley page for more information! artists@myguildhouse.com

Dealer's Room:

We are looking for a wide variety of Dealers, but we will be looking to insure we don't have much overlap in order to make the experience as enjoyable for our vendors as it will be for our guests. Please send a query e-mail to dealers@myguildhouse.net with the header: Dealer's Room. Include a basic list of what items you sell. We will contact you back to let you know if we still have an opening for your type of merchandise. The more specific you are, the better we will be able to place you. Once approved, print out the form on the Dealer's page and mail it in with your payment. You will have one month's grace once you are approved to send in your payment or your spot will become available once more. Remember, registering early insures that you will be one of the only ones with your type of wares for sale! dealers@myguildhouse.com

Games Room:

Looking to run games? Let us know what and when and we will see about including you in our roster. Run enough games and you may be able to qualify for Volunteering status. Contact the Games Room Director for more details! We are also in need of lots of assistant game masters for the LARP. If you have a knack for rules, let us know and become a part of our big gaming event! gaming@myguildhouse.com

Room Parties:

We are looking to have some of the well known convention room party people join us for Quetzalcoatl Con. But if you are interested in joining us, just get in touch!  Put "Room Party" in the header of your e-mail and send it to roomparties@myguildhouse.com

Volunteering:

So you would like to volunteer to get a little cash back at the end of the convention? We can work with you! Volunteers register as normal but get back part of their admission at the end of the convention to whatever they want to with it. AND the Dealer's Room will be open an extra hour on Sunday just for you! You could use it for the Feast, you can use it for gas, well heck, it's your money do whatever you like because it's yours! volunteering@myguildhouse.com

Becoming a Staff Member:

Oh you like helping run conventions? Well, yes, we could probably use you! Contact us at: Staff@myguildhouse.com with the header: Staff-Joining Up. You do have to be able to make meetings, and be accountable for your tasks. Previous convention experience is definitely a plus. We do reserve the right to politely decline offers if we believe there will be personality conflicts or other such issues. You might still be able to volunteer if we can't use you in the regular staff. Please be understanding, the convention staff is a team and have to share the same vision. We've seen what happens when they don't. It isn't pretty. Brrrrrrrr! staff@myguildhouse.com
